Seminar Schedule
In the current economic and financial environment, it is more important than ever that trustees and employers understand the risks associated with defined benefit pensions and the alternative ways that these risks can be effectively managed, or even removed.
For the many schemes that are closed to new members, and the growing number where benefit accrual has ceased altogether, it is equally imperative that the right exit strategy or, as we call it, ‘decommissioning’ programme is put in place. Otherwise, unnecessary time, effort and money will be expended, and trustees, employers and members will be more exposed to unforeseen circumstances.
Pension Capital Strategies and JLT are offering a series of seminars this June to look at he various aspects of "Decommissioning" Private Sector Defined Benefit Pension Schemes, at venues around the UK.
The seminars will take place on:
9th June - Edinburgh, Radisson Blu Hotel
11th June - London, the CII Insurance Hall
17th June - Leeds, Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground
18th June - Manchester, Marriott Worsley Park Hotel
25th June - Bristol, Mercure Holland Hall Hotel
29th June - Solihull, the National Motorcycle Museum
Sessions are free and, with the exception of Leeds, start at 8.45am finishing with lunch at around 12.30pm, giving you time to get back to the rest of your busy day.
Leeds will be an afternoon seminar, followed by Yorkshire Carnegie vs Lancashire Lightening in a Twenty/20 match for guests who would like to stay.
